— Police were advised of two vehicles trying to crash each other on Silver Grove Road. One of the described cars was spotted, and a stop was conducted, finding three people inside. They claimed that while at the swinging bridge in Bluff City, an unknown man grabbed one of their party, threw him inside his vehicle, then drove away to spur the chase. The allegedly kidnapped man was able to escape, according to their account, when his companions crashed into the suspect's vehicle. No possible motive was given to police. A detective was assigned to investigate further.

— On Fairview Avenue, an officer observed a speeding motorist pass another vehicle on the double-yellow line, then swerve to avoid hitting two pedestrians. When a traffic stop was conducted at the driver's nearby home, he refused to comply with police orders — stating he was "on his property" — and had to be physically restrained. Ultimately, he was arrested for both reckless driving and disorderly conduct.

— At the Travel Inn on Lynn Garden Drive, a man found a window busted out of his pickup. While inspecting the damage, a suspect in the vandalism approached with a hammer over his head. Another man, who was outside smoking, was also accosted by the armed individual, telling police the suspect swung the hammer in his direction while shouting. Officers found the suspect in a room and arrested him for aggravated assault. He reportedly admitted to breaking the vehicle's window, saying he was mad that the pickup's owner wouldn't sell him Oxycodone.

— A man was arrested for domestic assault against his wife. He explained that the abuse was because she spent too much time on her phone, adding that he wanted her to "show him more love and affection."

— A Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from a home on Waverly Road, where the owner had been letting it warm outside unattended. An officer soon spotted the vehicle on Ward Place, where a woman ran from the SUV, but a passenger was detained. He said the female had picked him up in the Tahoe, and later told him it was stolen. However, a review of surveillance footage revealed that he served as a lookout while she swiped the Chevy. He was arrested for motor vehicle theft. A warrant was obtained on the same charge for the woman.

— At 7:40 p.m., dispatchers began fielding calls about a man slicing his wrists along East Stone Drive. An officer spotted the suspect in southbound lanes of North Eastman Road, finding he was "covered in blood and holding a razor knife." At gunpoint, the man was ordered to drop his weapon and complied, with EMS then responding to the scene. While receiving treatment, he showed signs "consistent with illegal drug use," according to police, and claimed "people were following him." He was transported to a local hospital for care of his self-inflicted wounds.
